The 80 MM Diagnostic
Two to three weeks. Fixed fee. You’ll know what’s broken, what it costs to fix, and what to do first.
What it is
A scored assessment
of your marketing system.
Most conversations about AI and marketing start in the wrong place — with a tool, or a capability, or something a competitor announced. They’re hard to price and harder to finish.
This one starts with evidence. We look at five things, score each of them, benchmark them, and hand you a ranked list of what to do about it. Then you decide whether we’re the right people to do any of it.
Scored dimensions
The five
dimensions.
Machine legibility
Can the systems that recommend you actually read you, and do they describe you correctly?
We check whether retrieval systems fetched your pages and what they got, whether your firewall is quietly turning them away, how each page type scores for machine readability, and what the major assistants currently say about you — sampled enough times to mean something, with the sources behind each answer.
Content system
What does an asset cost you, how long does it take, and does it look like you?
Cycle time and cost per asset, baselined. A distinctiveness review of recent output. And an audit of whether you could prove where any of it came from if somebody asked.
Measurement integrity
Can you defend a budget decision by cause rather than by credit?
An audit of the inputs, how much weight is currently resting on platform-reported numbers, and what your experiment history — if there is one — has actually changed.
Agent and commerce readiness
Could a machine buy from you, and would it get the right answer?
Feed completeness against what assistants now expect, the interface layer, and whether the technical posture of your site helps or hinders the systems you want to be found by.
Governance exposure
What breaks when the rules are applied to what you’re already doing?
Consent architecture, current disclosure practice, provenance, and rights and likeness review. For most organisations this is the dimension that produces the biggest surprise.
Deliverables
What you
get.
A scored index across all five dimensions, with benchmarks.
The three interventions we’d do first — ranked by effort, with our reasoning on likely impact shown rather than asserted.
What each one costs, and roughly how long it takes.
The raw evidence. Every input is something you own and can check without us.
An honest verdict, including “don’t do this yet” or “this isn’t us” if that’s what the evidence says.
Timeline
How it
runs.
Access, evidence gathering, and a working session with your team. We need logs, analytics access, a sample of recent output, and an hour with whoever owns each of the five areas.
Analysis, sampling and scoring. Most of this happens without you.
The report, walked through live, then handed over in writing.
[TO CONFIRM: whether the standard engagement is two weeks or three, and what changes between them.]
Commercials
Straightforward
terms.
Fixed fee, quoted in writing before we start. [TO CONFIRM: the fee.]
Credited in full against a Build engagement if you proceed within ninety days.
No obligation to proceed, and nothing in the report that only makes sense if you hire us.
FAQ
Frequently asked
questions.
Server or CDN log access, analytics access, a sample of recent creative output, your product feed if you have one, and about an hour each with whoever owns content, growth, data and legal.
No. Nothing pauses. The heaviest ask on your side is a few hours of conversation.
Then this will either confirm it with evidence you can take to a budget conversation, or find the thing underneath it. Both are useful. If you’re certain, tell us what you think it is and we’ll tell you honestly whether the Diagnostic is worth your money.
Yes — the Retrieval Audit is a standalone, and so are the Machine Perception Audit and the Measurement Health Check. The Diagnostic is the version that looks at all five and tells you which one matters most.
